Aikido in My Life!!!!
I believe most of you readers out there are wondering how I get to know aikido and how long I have been training this martial art.
I have been training aikido for 5 years. In my childhood, I dislike martial art for its violence, yet I did not understand what martial art is. Before turning secondary 1, my father wanted me to join karate or taekwondo, but I declined. Soon, my father forced me to join Aikido @ Cairnhill CC. Even though I made some friends but it did not last. The training duration was just 1 hour and it is boring.
My father joined the clan association Nan Yang Pho Leng, where it is located near the CC. Soon someone introduced Sensei Awyong to set up an Aikido class there at Pho Leng so I joined there instead. Because I was quite a playful and naughty boy, under my sensei, my behavior gradually changed. From naughty and playful to discipline and quiet. Haha. At that time, it was the birth of Zhen Qi Shu Aikido. I gained a lot of knowledge and wisdom through the teachings of my sensei. With SP and TP Aikido being formed, I made a golden friendship with them.
Because of Aikido, I am full of discipline, because of Aikido, I have support from my friends. Without Aikido, life will be boring and I will be the disastrous boy I used to be. Haha… … …

Friday @ RP was fine and I was glad that the facilitator have changed from the aunt facilitator to a more interesting man. I like his class because his interesting and funny talking kept us awake. I was luckily to have such an interesting and fun facilitator. Meeting with the SP and training was as usual.
Saturday!!!
About 2.30pm, I mit the SP for lunch (my money used finished, I'm almost broke). After that, training as usual but there were fewer people. Therefore there was no second training and the training time expanded. Dinner @ United Square with SPs and going broke. Later, we went to TP chalet. There was a lot of people (weekends, of course) at Costa Sand. The TPs were having a BBQ so eat eat!!! hahaha. There was PS, X-box and many games they brought. There was one game required two guitar, the Guitar Hero. Sensei played the game, haha. Yong Xin VS Sensei. Sensei Won. hahaha.

My Thursday!!!!!
Aikido
I was quite tired after the lesson, so I slack and skip the TP to rest. haha. I went to Kolam Ayer CC straight away to rest and have some food to restore energy. About 7 something pm, Perry and Sebastian came and I show them some aikido video clips to entertain them while we wait for the Hall to be available for us. Training @ Kolam Ayer CC for today was special, we learned many self-defense techniques. It was the most fruitful training. After training, Mr Ong brought food for us as usual, haha. He bought Burger King's burgers and Nasi Lemak and a mooncake, hahaha.
The Narrow Path to Danger
After supper, I went home. As I reached the lift lobby, I saw a man dressed in red looked at me, so I looked back at him in response. It was lucky for my eye to see what the man was up to. In his right hand hold a knife and his pocket, there's another knife. 2 knives!!! I responsed calmy; I pretended to be disturbed by my handphone and simply walk away. I was lucky to see the knives or I will be killed in the lift or my money maybe gone, haha. Therefore I wanna to share a code in the martial art in Aikido (SP and TP):
Fighting must be your last resort
The first is to avoid fighting... ... ...

Life in RP!!!!!!
There was a friday ( i think the second one), there was this aunt faciliator that is totally sucky. I did everything except my self-evaluation which is unneccessary, but she gave me a C. Totally sucks!!! And she said don;t care about complaining to her. She sucks and luckily she was a substitue faciliator on that day. My friend said that if she comes again, he is going to drag her to toliet and beat her up ( i know he was just kidding).
The monday class faciliator also sucks. A man which end every sentence with a ssssss, what's his problem! He sucks too.
I hope the rest of the lesson is interesting and fun, not full of boredom and "death".
Which is the Best Aikido?
Aikido was founded by Morihei Ueshiba, a great martial artist. Under his teachings, he had students which are well-known. For those training Aikido even now, trying to search for better Aikido video for fun or observation/ improvement, there are clip on these old students of O'sensei. These are students of O'Sensei:
植芝 吉祥丸Kisshomaru Ueshiba, son of Morihei Ueshiba. The second Doshu of Aikido. Doshu is a hereditary title, "Master of the Way (Tao)". After his death, his son Moriteru Ueshiba take his father's place and become the third Doshu until now. The future and forth Doshu will be young Mitsuteru Ueshiba.
塩田 剛三 Gozo Shioda, a uchi-deshi of O'Sensei and the founder of Yoshinkan Aikido. He has become known as one of the most "fiery" or "vigorous" people of aikido history. In one incident, Shioda and a fellow deshi got into a fight with a gang of criminal known as yakuza . He was able to defeat the gang by bringing down the leader first. He said that this was an essential tactic in a fight against many.
斉藤 守弘 Morihiro Saito, was often the sole training partner of Ueshiba, and had the unique opportunity to train with Ueshiba in the practice of the sword and short staff, which occurred early each morning before the other students arrived. He is expert in jo and bokken techniques.
Okay! That's it. Want others, find yourself, haha. The most appropriate clips are from Aikikai or IAF.

Aikido - Movement of Nature
Aikido
What is Aikido? What is its true definition? Some people believed that Aikido are for soft and injured people, is that true and what about Steven Seagal using Aikido techniques during his movies. Now I will answer these question.
What is Aikido?
According to most description, Aikido means the path of harmonizing people with the mental power Ki or a Japanese self defense martial art. Is that all?
Ai means respect, together and love, Ki means the mental energy and the primordial power that created this universe and Do means the path, Tao. Aikido is a art of peace and the movement of nature. O'sensei stated that Aikido emphasizing being one with the universe, go with the flow and borrowing of the enemy's energy against him/her.
Aikido is a budo that emphasized weapon, unarmed and defense in different situation. Aikido is about calm oneself and bring the whole universe into his/her mind.
Research
O'Sensei in his many years studied different religion including Christianity, Buddhism and Taoism. He believed that the concepts of almost all religion are the same. Aikido is mostly based on the concept of Taoism. Laozi, the Taoist philosopher said that all things in the universe are created by one primordial force, Nothingness. Only with Nothingness, Yin and Yang are created and later the creation of the whole universe. All things comes from nothingness, therefore in order to execute an Aikido technique, the mind must be calm and empty. Not only Aikido is based on the concept of Tao, but many ancient classic texts are links to its secret.
Truth of Aikido
Aikido is consisted of a soft martial art, yet sometimes it is hard. For the world have yin and yang, life and death, light and darkness. And so does Aikido, it is a hard and soft martial art. Some believed that Aikido are for soft people due to its beautiful and circular movements, they forgot the word, self-defense. Aikido can be orthodox and unorthodox just like an army. Aikido also consisted of locks that control the opponents instantly and circular movements are used to avoid attacks and to blend in with the enemy's attacks
